Description

Compare electronic Third Legacy voting approaches designed for AA elections and other procedural decisions. The panel demonstrates systems built with Google Apps Script and Sheets, Airtable and related tools, an AWS-based voting service, and a standalone web application. The voting apps’ features include anonymous ballots, QR codes, kiosk access, majority thresholds, progressive elimination, automatic tallies, multilingual interfaces, and manual or computer-assisted hat draws. The discussion also examines practical constraints including voter eligibility, abstentions, simultaneous-use limits, unreliable internet access, members without smart devices, paper-ballot adjustments, operating costs, data retention, and the balance between accessibility and anonymity.
