Description
Examine how technology helps connect alcoholics who cannot easily attend in-person meetings because of geography, travel, isolation, military service, incarceration, illness, or other barriers. Covers remote AA communities, online groups, letter-writing traditions, and the importance of maintaining connection when local meetings are unavailable.
In this panel presentation we heard from three AA members who are a part of remote communities that utilize technologies as a way to connect to AA. Panelists included a nomadic AA RVer, a Gate/List Keeper for the Loner’s International email group, and a member of the Global Speakers Group who will participate via remote technology.
