Description

Examine how digital communication tools can support 12th Step work without replacing direct human contact. Covers practical questions around email, text messages, chat, phone calls, sponsorship, and service communication, with attention to spiritual principles, anonymity, and choosing the right medium for the right kind of conversation.

Ross presented on how their Central Service implemented and staffed a 24-hour Chat service on their website and the resulting benefit of reaching still suffering alcoholics that could not have been reached before. Keith provided an overview of various methods available to us such as mass email and text message tools, Google Groups, MailChimp, and Facebook Groups. Common pitfalls and Traditions concerns (and benefits) were covered as well.
